I am a Young Chemist

Who is a Chemist? Chemists examine how atoms attach, break apart and re-connect to create new and different things. The Chemist's superpower can be useed to create a number of amazing things! 

Instructions:

1. Try to carry out the activities by yourself.  

2. Submit your completed works for us to certify! Only submit photos of your work 

3. Be responsible. If you submit inappropriate content, you will be given a warning and may be barred from using the system. 

4. For assignments that require video uploads, please upload your work onto youtube and then link us to the url.

The activities in the Young Scientist Badge programmes have been designed to encourage Curiosity, creativity, communication, open mindedness and perseverence

Learning Outcome

  • Conduct different experiments such as neutralization reaction and different separation techniques
  • Show concern for the need to reduce air pollution
  • Understand and list chemical compounds
  • Understand the 3 states of matter
  • Observe the experiment results and explain the reason behind it
  • Understand how does a pH indicator work
  • Explore different materials to clean up oil spills
